ABOUT GIDEON

Anthony Owens is the Founder and CEO of Gideon Defense. His leadership reflects a career shaped by service, discipline, and innovation in both military and corporate environments. Drawing from his government experience, he leads Gideon with a focus on advancing defense technology and delivering mission-driven solutions for the federal government.

He began his career as an enlisted infantry Marine and later commissioned as an officer. He now serves as a Capability Development Officer with the Office of Naval Research, supporting the Marine Corps mission. His work helps identify and accelerate dual-use technologies that strengthen both national defense and private industry.

Before founding Gideon, Anthony held leadership roles in engineering, logistics, manufacturing, and program management. His experience continues to guide Gideon’s growth and culture of excellence.

He holds an MBA from the University of Michigan, a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Maryland, and an associate degree in Engineering from the College of Southern Maryland. He is also a certified Project Management Professional (PMP).

Anthony lives in the metro Detroit area with his wife, Dunya, and their sons, Elijah and Luca. His leadership is grounded in faith and guided by a belief that integrity, service, and perseverance define true success. He built Gideon to honor those who defend the nation, ensuring every effort serves a higher purpose and reflects the company’s commitment to God, family, and country.
